Fingerprint scanning
Fingerprint scanning is a mandatory procedure in the State of California for passing background checks through DOJ (Department of Justice) and/or FBI databases, as well as for applying to public and private organizations.
The procedure is performed using Live Scan certified equipment and involves digitally taking prints and sending them to the appropriate authorities.
The service includes
- Live Scan (digital fingerprinting)with subsequent submission to DOJ and/or FBI
- Filling out the Request for Live Scan Service (BCIA 8016) form
- Customer document verification (ID verification)
- Format and transfer data to meet the requirements of the customer organization (e.g., California licensing agency, immigration, social services, etc.).
- Print a receipt for payment and confirmation of sending data
- Mobile scanning of prints (at the customer’s office or home) – on request
- Consultation on preparation of documents required for the procedure
- Check sending status / results (if applicable)
- Re-send prints on rejection (in case of technical errors or unreadability)
- Support for submitting prints for immigration, professional, volunteer or business purposes
